Halloween on Roblox: Events, Scary Games and What's Kid-Safe
In October, Halloween on Roblox mostly means pumpkins, costumes and limited-time events in well-known games, plus a wave of genuine horror games. Most of it is harmless for kids: many Halloween updates are decorations, trick-or-treat rounds and new pets. But there are real scary games with jumpscares too, and the Roblox maturity label alone doesn’t always tell you how creepy a game feels. Here’s which games in the current charts have a Halloween update, how scary they are and what parents can look out for.
Key points
- In our Roblox charts from October 15, 2026, 11 games in the US top 100 carry a 🎃 or “Halloween” in their name, including Welcome to Bloxburg and Bubble Gum Simulator INFINITY.
- Cozy events in Adopt Me!, Bubble Gum Simulator INFINITY or Carve a Pumpkin! suit younger kids best.
- Dandy’s World, Lethal Ape Experience and IT WANTS IN are genuine scary games, and IT WANTS IN is labeled “Minimal” despite its horror theme.
- Many Halloween events come with an event pass or event shop: check the spending limit in Parental Controls first.
Halloween games 2026 at a glance
The selection comes from the daily Roblox charts BloxControl tracks itself (German, global and US charts from October 15, 2026). Maturity labels and player counts come from our detail crawl on October 14, 2026, event content from the official game descriptions on roblox.com (as of October 16, 2026). The fright level is our own assessment:
- 🎃 cozy: costumes, pumpkins, candy, no jump scares
- 👻 mildly spooky: dark rooms, cartoon monsters, suspense
- 💀 horror: chases, jumpscares, threatening atmosphere
| Game | Halloween content | Fright level | Roblox label | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Adopt Me! | ”Hauntlet” event returns | 🎃 | Minimal | Adopt Me! guide |
| Welcome to Bloxburg | October icon in the game title | 🎃 | Minimal | Bloxburg guide |
| Bubble Gum Simulator INFINITY | Trick or treat, 3 Halloween eggs | 🎃 | Minimal | – |
| Carve a Pumpkin! | Pumpkin carving contest | 🎃 | not in our crawl | – |
| Tower Heroes | Halloween event with pass | 🎃 | Minimal | – |
| Home Alone: Anomalies | Halloween pass, collect pumpkins | 👻 | Minimal | Home Alone guide |
| Dandy’s World | 2 Halloween floors, “Haunted Gala” | 👻 | Mild | Dandy’s World guide |
| Lethal Ape Experience | Halloween update | 💀 | Mild | – |
| IT WANTS IN | Horror set in “late October” | 💀 | Minimal | – |
Cozy Halloween events for younger kids
Adopt Me!
Adopt Me! is one of the biggest Roblox games of all: our crawl on October 14, 2026 counted 243,327 active players. According to the game description, the “Hauntlet” event returns for Halloween: you escape the haunted event and can adopt its host, “Bolt”. There’s also a Halloween sticker pack for the journal. Everything stays colorful and playful. More on the game and its trading system in the Adopt Me! guide.
Welcome to Bloxburg
On October 15, 2026, Welcome to Bloxburg ranked #3 in the US and #16 in the global charts, with a pumpkin icon in its name. The game description doesn’t say what exactly changes in October. Bloxburg is a calm building and roleplay game where kids build and furnish houses, so think autumn décor rather than goosebumps. Everything else is in the Bloxburg guide.
Bubble Gum Simulator INFINITY
In Bubble Gum Simulator you blow bubbles, collect coins and hatch pets from eggs. According to its description, the Halloween update adds a “Nightmare Town” for trick-or-treating, three Halloween eggs, a spooky shop and a Halloween chest. On October 15, 2026 the game ranked #71 in the US charts. Parents should know that egg hatching is luck-based and leaderboards encourage players to keep going.
Carve a Pumpkin!
A small game that fits the season perfectly: every player gets three minutes to carve and decorate a pumpkin to a theme, then everyone votes. On October 15, 2026 it ranked #97 in the German charts. Our crawl hadn’t recorded a maturity label for it yet. Since the pumpkins are made by other players, it’s worth a quick look over your child’s shoulder.
Tower Heroes
Tower Heroes is a tower defense game with cartoon characters. According to its description, there’s a Halloween event, past Halloween rewards return, and a Halloween pass fills up with candy dropped by defeated enemies. The first 7 tiers are free, the rest is sold as a game pass. On October 15, 2026 it ranked #78 in the US charts.
Mildly spooky: suspenseful, but not horror yet
Home Alone: Anomalies
You’re home alone, visitors ring the doorbell, and not everyone is who they claim to be. Using cameras and careful listening, you decide who to let in. For Halloween you collect pumpkins for a Halloween pass, with a top-100 leaderboard on top. The mood is eerie but not brutal. On October 15, 2026 it ranked #81 in the US charts. Details and a parent check are in the Home Alone guide.
Dandy’s World
Dandy’s World is the biggest Halloween game in our data: #2 in the global charts on October 15, 2026. It’s a so-called “mascot horror” game: colorful mascot characters become enemies while your team repairs machines and descends floor by floor. For Halloween, the description lists two limited-time Halloween floors, an event called “Haunted Gala” and an event shop with spooky skins. The characters look cute, but the chases can frighten younger kids. More in the Dandy’s World guide.
Genuinely scary games for older kids and fans
Lethal Ape Experience
An abandoned research facility, experiments gone wrong, monsters roaming the halls: you have to stay quiet and hide. The game got a Halloween update and ranked #77 in the global charts on October 15, 2026. Label: Mild. This is classic survival horror and better suited to kids who already know the genre.
IT WANTS IN
“Late October”, a cabin in the woods and something tall waiting at the treeline: in IT WANTS IN, your team boards up windows and doors and tries to survive until dawn. On October 15, 2026 it ranked #12 in the US charts. Worth knowing for parents: despite its clear horror theme, the game is labeled “Minimal”. The label is a starting point, not a substitute for looking at the game yourself.
Year-round horror classics
These aren’t Halloween events, but they’re especially popular in October. Their descriptions don’t mention a Halloween update so far (as of October 16, 2026):
- DOORS: a maze of doors full of monsters, labeled Mild
- Forsaken: asymmetric survival against a killer, Mild
- 99 Nights in the Forest: survival in a dark forest, Minimal
- Murder Mystery 2: detective puzzle with a knife theme, Moderate
What the Roblox maturity label says about scary content
Roblox assigns every game a content maturity label. According to the Roblox documentation on content maturity (retrieved October 16, 2026):
| Label | What’s allowed regarding fear |
|---|---|
| Minimal | occasional mild violence; fear content isn’t listed |
| Mild | repeated mild violence and mild fear-based content |
| Moderate | moderate violence and moderate fear-based content |
| Restricted | strong violence, only for age-verified players 18+ |
The IT WANTS IN example shows that a “Minimal” game can still be deliberately creepy. For scary games, a fright level like ours often tells you more than the label.
Halloween on Roblox: tips for parents
- Play it together first: Five minutes of watching is usually enough to tell whether a game is pumpkin décor or real horror.
- Event passes and shops: Tower Heroes, Home Alone: Anomalies and Dandy’s World have passes or event shops. A spending limit in Parental Controls avoids surprises. See how to secure a Roblox account.
- Chat while scared: Team horror games involve a lot of chat. Our guide to age-based chat explains what kids can see.
- No pressure from timers: Halloween events are time-limited, which quickly creates “just one more round” moments. Missed content sometimes comes back, as with Adopt Me! and Tower Heroes, where past Halloween content returns.
- Year-round alternatives: If your child prefers no scares at all, our list of child-friendly Roblox games has ideas.
For players: getting the most out of Halloween
- Start early: Event passes take time, like pumpkins in Home Alone: Anomalies or candy in Tower Heroes.
- Use codes: Tower Heroes lists codes for free rewards in its description. Only take codes from the official game description, never from sites that ask for your password.
- Scare together: Dandy’s World and IT WANTS IN are more fun (and less creepy) with friends.
Halloween on Roblox: FAQ
When is Halloween on Roblox?
There’s no single date: each game starts and ends its own event. In our German charts the first pumpkin icons showed up on October 5, 2026 (three games), and from October 12, 2026 there were nine. Halloween itself is on October 31.
Which Roblox Halloween games are suitable for younger kids?
The Halloween events in Adopt Me!, Bubble Gum Simulator INFINITY, Carve a Pumpkin! and Welcome to Bloxburg are cozy and free of jump scares. All four are labeled “Minimal” (where recorded) and focus on décor, costumes and collecting.
Is Dandy’s World too scary for kids?
Dandy’s World is labeled “Mild”. The characters look cute but are the enemies, and chases can frighten younger kids. For older elementary-school kids playing with friends it’s often fine. Best to watch it together once.
Does Halloween on Roblox cost money?
The events themselves are free. But many games offer event passes, spooky shops or luck-based eggs that can cost Robux. In Tower Heroes the first 7 pass tiers are free, the rest is a game pass.
Why does a horror game have a “Minimal” label?
The label mainly describes violence, blood and other content according to Roblox’s criteria. A game can feel creepy without landing in a higher tier, as IT WANTS IN shows. That’s why it pays to take a look yourself with scary games.
