Best Roblox Survival Games, With a Scare Check
Roblox survival games are games where you have to outlast a threat: cold, hunger, monsters, a murderer or a night full of strange visitors. Some are cozy campfire adventures, others are full-on horror games with jump scares. That’s why the word “survival” alone won’t tell you whether a game suits your child. Below is our pick, with a scare check, the Roblox content rating, and a link to our full guide.
Key takeaways
- Roblox lists all twelve games on this list under the “Survival” genre (our crawl on October 27, 2026).
- Survive 7 Days In Arctic and 100 Days At Sea are almost scare-free, and both carry the “Minimal” label.
- DOORS, Forsaken and Evade are real horror games. They’re rated “Mild”, the level at which Roblox allows jump scares.
- Murder Mystery 2 is barely scary, but it’s the only game here rated “Moderate”, because the goal is to eliminate other players.
What makes a Roblox survival game?
At its core, you always have to get through a round, a night or a set number of days. On Roblox, three styles dominate:
- Classic survival: Gather wood, keep the fire going, find food, upgrade your camp or raft. The danger comes from cold, hunger or animals. Examples: Survive 7 Days In Arctic, 100 Days At Sea, 99 Nights in the Forest.
- Anomaly games: You do a harmless job, like selling fries or treating animals, and have to spot when something “isn’t right”. The tension comes from the unexpected. Examples: Sell Fries!, Animal Hospital, Home Alone.
- Chase and horror survival: A monster or another player hunts you, and you have to escape, finish tasks or hide. Examples: DOORS, Forsaken, Evade, Flee the Facility, Dandy’s World.
The genre is especially popular in October. Roblox even runs its own survival event, The Hollow (October 22 to November 2, 2026), featuring monsters from well-known games such as DOORS.

Barely scary: survival for beginners
Survive 7 Days In Arctic
You build a shelter, keep the fire burning, fish for food and hold out until rescue on day 7. The enemy is the cold, not a monster, which is why our guide sees the game as survival rather than combat. Worth knowing for parents: the cold and the race to rescue can stress some kids, and public servers have chat. More in our Survive 7 Days In Arctic guide.
100 Days At Sea
An open-world survival game at sea: upgrade your raft, harpoon resources, explore islands and dig into a Bermuda Triangle mystery. Scares barely play a role, but there are weapons, enemies and plenty of “just one more day”. A good fit for kids who love building and exploring. More in our 100 Days At Sea guide.
Mildly spooky: suspenseful, but not horror
99 Nights in the Forest
You and your friends build a camp in the woods and try to survive 99 nights. According to the official description, something is watching you from the dark. The game is rated “Minimal”, but our guide still suggests playing the first night together: darkness and sudden scares hit every child differently. More in our 99 Nights in the Forest guide.
Sell Fries!
Collect potatoes, make fries, serve customers, upgrade the kitchen: by day, Sell Fries! is a colorful cooking game. At night, according to the game page, things change and you have to watch out for an anomaly. If younger kids want to play, watch one full day-and-night cycle together first. More in our Sell Fries! guide.
Animal Hospital (Anomaly)
A night shift at an animal hospital: you treat patients who start acting stranger and stranger. On October 29, 2026, the game ranked #7 in the German Roblox charts (our own tracking). Anyone expecting a pure pet-care game will be surprised, so our guide treats it as a suspense game. More in our Animal Hospital guide.
Home Alone (Anomaly)
You’re home alone, checking cameras, listening to visitors and deciding whether to open the door. It’s mostly a puzzle and trust game, but the official page also advertises horror and jump-scare items you can use to prank friends. More in our Home Alone guide.
Flee the Facility
A survival classic built around “run, hide, escape”: according to the game description, you get away from a “Beast”, unlock the exits and make it out of the facility. It isn’t realistic horror, but the chase and the time pressure can stress sensitive kids. On October 29, 2026, it ranked #38 in the German charts (our own tracking). More in our Flee the Facility guide.
Dandy’s World
A so-called “mascot horror” game: colorful mascot characters turn into enemies while your team repairs machines and descends floor after floor. The characters look cute, but the chases can frighten younger kids. In October the game adds Halloween floors; see our roundup of Halloween on Roblox. Everything about the game is in our Dandy’s World guide.
Horror: for older kids and scare fans
Evade
Evade calls itself an action parkour game in which good movement decides whether you escape the “Nextbots”. It doesn’t need graphic violence to be intense: according to our guide, chases, sudden appearances, loud noises and time pressure do the job. Our tip: watch a round first and turn the volume down. More in our Evade guide.
DOORS
DOORS is one of the best-known horror games on Roblox: you make your way through a creepy hotel door by door while monsters like Seek hunt you. On October 29, 2026, it ranked #3 in the German Roblox charts (our own tracking), and Seek is one of the monsters in The Hollow event. A highlight for horror fans, usually too much for younger kids. More in our DOORS guide.
Forsaken
In Forsaken, killers face survivors: according to the game description, survivors protect each other, complete objectives and hold out until the timer runs out, while the killer tries to leave no one standing. The game is fast, competitive and clearly built as horror. Our guide recommends starting with a short 10 to 15 minute session together and talking beforehand about how to handle strangers in chat. More in our Forsaken guide.
Murder Mystery 2 (with a caveat)
Murder Mystery 2 is barely scary, but it’s the only game on this list rated “Moderate”. Each round splits players into innocents, a sheriff and a murderer who takes out the others with a knife. Add public accusations in chat and trading of rare knives, where strangers can apply pressure. Better suited to older kids, with supervision. More in our Murder Mystery 2 guide.
For parents: what to watch for in survival games
According to Roblox’s content maturity documentation (accessed October 29, 2026), the labels cover violence and fear like this:
| Label | Violence | Fear |
|---|---|---|
| Minimal | occasional mild, unrealistic violence | not addressed |
| Mild | repeated mild violence | mild fear content such as jump scares, creepy NPCs, ominous music |
| Moderate | moderate, realistic-looking but non-graphic violence | moderate fear content |
| Restricted | strong, realistic violence, only for ID-verified players 18+ | no separate level named |
A few practical points follow from that:
- “Minimal” says little about scares: 99 Nights in the Forest, Animal Hospital and Home Alone are all “Minimal” and still deliberately suspenseful. Playing the first round together tells you more than the label.
- Volume and time of day: Jump scares hit much harder with headphones and in the evening. Play scary games during the day and on speakers.
- Team pressure: In Evade, Forsaken or Flee the Facility, the team depends on you. Losing or getting caught can lead to arguments.
- Chat: Almost all survival games run on public servers. What kids can see depending on their age is covered in our guide to age-based chat.
- Purchases and trading: Boosts, skins and, in Murder Mystery 2, rare knives cost Robux. A spending limit helps; see What are Robux?.

For players: how to survive longer
- Resources before comfort: In Arctic, 100 Days At Sea and 99 Nights, secure fire, food and shelter first, decorations and extras later.
- Stick together: In 99 Nights, Dandy’s World and DOORS, groups usually survive longer than lone wolves, and things feel less scary with a friend.
- Listen closely: In DOORS and Evade, danger often announces itself through sound. Good listeners react sooner.
- Codes from official sources only: Take codes for free rewards only from the game description or the developer’s Discord, never from sites that ask for your login.
Frequently asked questions about Roblox survival games (FAQ)
What’s the best Roblox survival game for younger kids?
Survive 7 Days In Arctic and 100 Days At Sea are the best fit. Both are rated “Minimal” and almost scare-free; the danger comes from cold, hunger or the sea. If your child handles some suspense, try 99 Nights in the Forest together first.
Is DOORS appropriate for kids?
DOORS is a real horror game with monsters and jump scares, rated “Mild”. For older kids who love scares it’s a highlight, but for younger or easily frightened kids it’s usually too much. Watch a round together first.
Why is a scary game only rated “Minimal”?
According to Roblox’s documentation, fear-based content only starts at the “Mild” level. A game like 99 Nights in the Forest can still feel creepy through darkness and suspense without moving up a level. That’s why it pays to look for yourself with survival games.
Is Murder Mystery 2 a horror game?
No, Murder Mystery 2 is more of a guessing and role game: who’s the murderer? It’s barely scary. But it’s rated “Moderate” because the murderer takes out other players with a knife. For younger kids, games without violence are the better choice.
Do Roblox survival games cost money?
All games on this list are free to play. They do offer optional Robux purchases, such as boosts, skins, game passes or private servers. A spending limit in the parent account helps keep costs under control.
What is The Hollow on Roblox?
The Hollow is an official Roblox Halloween survival event running from October 22 to November 2, 2026. Each day brings a new maze with monsters from well-known games, such as Seek from DOORS. Everything about it is in our The Hollow guide.
