Black Friday: How to Buy Robux and Roblox Gift Cards for Less

As of 7 November 2026, we haven’t found a confirmed Black Friday deal on Robux or Roblox gift cards. Black Friday falls on 27 November in 2026. Card discounts have been hit and miss in past years. You can still save, though: how you buy often matters more than a sale price, and working out the price per Robux shows whether a deal is any good.

Key points

• As of 7 Nov 2026, Roblox’s own shop and gift card pages show no Black Friday discount.
• In 2024, Amazon US took 10% off Robux cards for Prime members. In 2025, Pocket Tactics found no card discount, only merch deals.
• Always compare in cents per Robux. Your local price is the one that counts, and it’s easy to work out.
• Buy cards only from Roblox or authorized retailers. Roblox says cards from unauthorized sellers aren’t valid.
• Free Robux codes don’t exist. Roblox says any such offer is a scam.
• Gift cards don’t count toward the monthly spending limit in the parent account.

Will Robux be cheaper on Black Friday?

Nobody can say yet for 2026. Here’s what we checked on 7 November 2026:

What happened in past years

• November 2024: Amazon US cut digital Robux cards by 10% for Prime members. The 10,000 Robux card, for example, dropped from $100 to $90 (PCWorld, 14 Nov 2024).
• November 2025: Pocket Tactics found no Robux card discount over the Black Friday weekend, just deals on plushies, toys and a controller (Pocket Tactics, 30 Nov 2025).
• Marketplace: The Roblox Marketplace has had a Black Friday sale in recent years, with a new avatar item each day. In 2025 it ran until 29 November (Pro Game Guides via inkl, 29 Nov 2025). You buy those items with Robux, so the sale doesn’t make Robux themselves any cheaper.

How to check any deal: cents per Robux

The math is simple: price in cents divided by the number of Robux. That lets you compare any two offers. We can only vouch for the prices we checked ourselves, which are from Germany in euros. The method works the same in dollars or pounds.

Sources: roblox.com/upgrades/robux and amazon.de, both accessed 7 Nov 2026 from Germany. We calculated cents per Robux ourselves. Prices change and vary by country, app store and console. To see yours, open the shop page in your own region.

Worked example, not a real deal: If the 2,000 Robux card dropped 10% from €25 to €22.50, you’d pay about 1.13 cents per Robux. That saves €2.50 and beats the shop’s smaller packages, but not the €39.99 package.

Credit card or Robux code?

There are two kinds of card, and they’re easy to mix up:

• Gift card with a currency value: The amount goes into your account as Roblox Credit. You spend it on Robux packages at shop prices or on a Roblox Plus subscription.
• Robux code: You get the printed amount of Robux directly, but no credit. Roblox lists digital codes from Amazon and Party Packs among these. You can’t use one to pay for a subscription.

Here’s what that meant for the same amount of money, using the German prices from 7 November 2026:

Roblox says leftover credit can also be converted to Robux. We haven’t tested how many you get. In this comparison, the Robux code wins if all you want is Robux, especially for larger amounts. If you want to pay for Roblox Plus, you need a credit card. Check your local prices before relying on this, since other regions may differ.

Where to buy safely

Roblox sells cards itself at roblox.com/giftcards. That page also lists local retailers, which vary by region, so check it from where you live.

Key shops, auction sites and classifieds will often show lower prices on Black Friday. The risk is then yours: according to the US gift card terms, cards are not valid if they come from unauthorized sellers or resellers, and that explicitly includes internet auction sites. The terms for Germany say the same. Other countries have their own terms.

How to spot a fake offer

Tempting offers pile up around big sale days. Watch out for these warning signs:

• “Free Robux code”: Roblox says codes for free Robux don’t exist, and anyone offering one is running a scam. The most common tricks are covered in Free Robux scams.
• A site that asks for your password: Only log in and redeem at roblox.com/redeem. Never enter your details anywhere else.
• Someone wants the code first: Never share card details with strangers. Whoever has the code can redeem it.
• Paying with a gift card: Roblox warns against using a card to pay for anything outside Roblox or to settle a debt.
• Time pressure: “Only 5 minutes left” is there to stop you thinking. A few dollars off isn’t worth the risk.

For parents: what to know before you buy

• Cards sidestep the spending limit. The monthly limit in the parent account doesn’t apply when a card is redeemed, so a card is extra budget. To set limits and purchase notifications, see What Are Robux?.
• Redeeming needs your consent. Under the terms, you must be over 18 or have a parent’s or guardian’s consent.
• Use the right account. A code goes to whichever account is logged in. It’s best to redeem together in a web browser, because it doesn’t work in the standard app or on consoles. Only Samsung Galaxy devices can also redeem in the app.
• No refunds. Roblox doesn’t refund gift cards, except where the law requires it. Keep your receipt, since it helps if there’s a problem with a code.
• Don’t leave cards sitting for years. Roblox’s FAQ says cards don’t expire, but the German terms allow the issuer to refuse a card three years after purchase. We didn’t check this clause for every country, so redeeming fairly soon is the safe choice.

If you’re planning a holiday gift, a card is an easy option. Buying on Black Friday only pays off if the price per Robux actually falls. Without a discount, a card costs the same in November as in December.

For players: get more for your money

• Buy in a browser, not in the app. Roblox advertises up to 25% more Robux in a browser and with gift cards than on other platforms. That applies whether or not it’s Black Friday.
• Bigger packages cost less per Robux. Pooling birthday money can pay off, but talk to your parents first.
• Grab the free item. Roblox says its gift cards come with a virtual item that changes every month. The limit is one per account per month, so two cards in the same month won’t get you two items. Party Packs and Mini Packs don’t include one.
• Plan first, buy second. Plenty of games are great without spending anything, like the ones on our list of kid-friendly Roblox games.
• Protect your account. An account with Robux on it is more attractive to scammers. The settings you need are in How to secure your Roblox account.
